How often do u clean your Glock

I detail cleaned the frame and slide December 2011. It has to go for 18 months.



My buddy goes 2 years out, but it's been coated with Frog Gut lube.



Barrel gets cleaned after every match.

Uh? Clean? Really I want to but I never had the time. I used to run a bore snake. But now I don't even have time for that. I just apply more lube on the fun when I goto the range.

i shot 440 rounds of blazer 40, that stuff is dirty! cleaned it and will probably clean after every range trip

I run a boresnake through the barrel after every range trip. I usually wait 500 rounds before doing a field strip and clean. I could probably wait even longer since I coated mine with Frog Lube.

I'll agree with you on the blazer. Bought a case of it last year and couldn't wait till I shot it all. Even had to clean the top of the mags after every couple hundred rnds.

According to Glock's site, they recommend field stripping and cleaning the gun when new before firing it plus, once a month, plus after each time it's fired, plus as required.

seems a bit excessive for me but I cleaned it after buying it and firing it and after I shoot it. If it's been a while and what little drops of oil I put on it is all gone, then I relube it.

I shoot ~200 rounds of copper plated ammo each weekend in USPSA matches across six stages in dirt shooting bays at an outdoor range. I clean my Glock 34 every three months or so and have yet to have a malfunction since I replaced the bad Gen4 ejector last year. So I guess that's a cleaning every 2,400 rounds.

I clean barrel/ramp every trip. Normally every trip unless I'm very busy.

I clean mine every range trip.
If I don't have a lot of time to clean my gun, I'll use a heavy dose of BreakFree powder blast on the slide and then a quick oiling.
I wish I could use it on the polymer frame, but that's a no go, so I just bust out a good nylon brush and some CLP.
If I've got the time to shoot, I've got the time for preventative maintenance.
