An AR pistol is on my bucket list, just for being wicked, although with a 10" barrel (10.5, whatevs), to get that lil' extra bit of velocity. Like folks say, it's basically the Cali equivalent of an SBR.

Then you can get one a them forearm braces, even if it's just for looks, although it certainly couldn't hurt in the cheek weld dept.




Plus it definitely works as a Fecalator. Ever see the movie Dogma?

Fairly accurate with just my iron sights, recoil and control are not an issue. Fun as hell to shoot. Glad I got lt before all this craziness.

Its my CA legal SBR. That buffer tube cheek weld is very effective.

^^ this ...also I think the AR pistol with a pistol buffer tube actually makes it easier to shoot like others have said versus a AR pistol without it.

I saw this video awhile back and showed a nice comparison of the different styles you can shoot an AR pistol:



Also combination with a CAA saddle I think would help with the check weld...

What is the intended practical purpose of a AR pistol?

Owning one is a legal way of up-staging the AR-15 rifle on the "wickedness scale" to make fienstein's heartburn just that much worse.

On the BB issue. It's a pistol with the magwell outside the pistol grip. That's assault weapon territory.
