Just for fun Check this out. http://s270.photobucket.com/albums/j...nCarryDraw.flv it takes awhile to draw and load a weapon.
Gotta practice if you wanna be like the cool speed loaders in IDPA matches .

Most of the digital recorders have headphone jacks, so keep a set of earphones attached and don't tell them you are recording. If they ask what the recorder is tell them it's an MP3 Player, after all that is the format that most of the digital recorders use, and they do play back what you record.

I practice with my speedloaders, I have gotten fairly quick with it. The biggest trick is lining up the bullets with the chambers.

Don't they count rounds and leave one in the Chamber? Tough to do with open carry laws the way they are.

Yes, don't put wad cutters in your speedloader!

I used to shoot a revolver in IPSC. A few weeks ago I tried someone's moon-clip.45. You can practically throw the moonclip at the cylinder & the bullets will fall in. Wow! I was impressed.

Reloading w/ moonclips or magazines does take some practice. I can reload my .40 or .45 in the dark or with my eyes closed almost as fast as looking at it. Who said Practical shooting wasn't practical? I shoot IDPA, also.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

On my 9mm the slide has a slot that allows the safety to act as a slide lock. I could effectively carry my firearm in my holster with the slide locked back. Then it's just insert the magazine then release the safety and a round is automatically chambered.

I have practiced both this technique and loading by having to rack the slide. Maybe 1/2 second difference.

                    Just sent an Email

To the Sherriff's Dept. I hope my wording is good to fair for this subject.

                    Laws & Regulations

Comments: "To whom it may concern,

On part of many concerened, responsible citizens who practice our 2nd ammendment rights and are fed up with crime in our state and choose to open carry as a visual, and if necessary, equal detourant. Having training to do so, I am asking for your input on this somewhat touchy subject.

I believe this is a simple summary of CPC 12025.

I would never consider use of a gun in commiting a felony. so, enough said there.
A loaded firearm means bullet in chamber or in magazine ATTATCHED to the weapon.
Carrying a gun in a locked box applies ONLY to a Concealed weapon.
A pistol in a holster on a belt is NOT concealed.

Other than 1000 feet of a k-12 school and inside public buildings and gang zones, Branishing, Use in a dispute, Refusal to check if loaded. Are there any other local ordinances I or your officers should know about?
Your input is greatly appreciated.... and Have a Great Day! "

Did I leave anything out? I'll post the replies if they respond. J.

                      Just a few questions.

                      What exactly are "Gang Zones"?

Are there any maps that show where they are located?

Is there anything in the Penal Code that says "A law abiding citizen must disarm when entering an obviously dangerous "gang zone" so as not the scare the sweet little gang bangers?

If I happen to make a wrong turn and fine myself in a "gang zone" have I commited a misdemeanor of a felony?

                      End of Questions.

As far as the Police responding, they will probably tell you it's not a smart thing to do,. or they will inform you to read the Penal Code, or if they want you to run in circles, they will direct you to call the DA's office who will then tell you they can only answer questions from the Police and refer you back to the Police, who will refer you to the DA.
