Has anyone else used the Kadet upper for their CZ? I'm really excited about this. They're out of stock everywhere, but I got lucky on a Gunbroker deal. Used, but included two mags.

Just ordered my Kadet upper!

Congrats. They are excellent. I've had one for several years as does my friend. One word...flawless!
I have several thousand round rounds thru mine and I know I had a failure here and there but it's so rare that I can't remember the last time it had one.
So, the last shot might or might not hold the slide open. My P01 frame using the PCR slide stop holds open after the last shot.
My other CZ 75's don't but I'm using only the PCR slide stop with it and I don't know where my original Kadet slide stop is anymore. Anyway, play around with the various slide stops if your Kadet kit doesn't hold open after last shot. -
Glad you found one. Took my brother 3-4 months on a waiting list to get his. The kadet upper is surprisingly accurate and very reliable. Just as accurate as the buckmark I used to compete with but the kadet is more reliable. I shot 1 ragged hole at 10 yards with it the first time out and it has never jammed since he got it even with the cheapest of the cheap bulk 22 ammo. CZ designed a 100% winner with that slide assembly and i'd mark it as the best 22 pistol you could have (barring a S&W41 that cost 3x as much USED). I'm looking to add a kadet upper to my collection but I've been too impatient to sit on a waiting list for months.Comment

When I had my CZ SP-01 I had a kadet kit and it was pretty accurate but picky with ammo for the first few hundred rounds. The nice thing about buying a used one is you wont have to worry about fitting it to your frame even though it is only two small notches you have to fit.Originally posted by barrageThat's because Excelsior threads are like toilet bowls. If you need to do some minor fitting (CZ explains in the instruction manual), go slow and check the fit often as you file. I took off more metal than I wanted too. It didn't hurt accuracy but I was annoyed at myself.
The Kadet is a great add-on to break-in your CZ's trigger. It was much cheaper breaking in the trigger with 100's of 22's than using 9mm.Comment

The _ONLY_ problem I've had with mine is light strikes. I have a 13lb mainspring in the gun and keep meaning to put a 15 or 16 in there to fix that. It always feeds, always ejects, never stovepipes, and I can't blame the light strikes on the Kadet kit as the frame has a CGW hammer/trigger kit in it. Mine is a Kadet 2, and it will hold the slide back on the last round. I tried my buddies which is a few years old and it doesn't hold the slide back which was annoying.Comment

Congrats I'm sure you will love your kadet kit.
I ordered a kadet kit a few months ago and then got cold feet and canceled my order the next day. Ordered 2,000 rounds of 9mm instead. Someday I'll own a kadet kit.Comment

Good luck. Not sure if it's the Christmas season or not, but no one has them.
This one ran $350 including shipping with two mags, so I think I did OK, price-wise.
