    Help I want a 1911!

Hey guys so I'm looking at buying my first 1911, the 2 I'm thinking about are the Kimber custome II and the sig nitron. Any input from you guys would be very helpful.

Also any other suggestions are welcome, my budget is $900 OTD.

    Thanks guys,
    Ed

      Don't think, just BUY!

I would also say to look at the Rock Island Armory/High Standard/Taylors Tactical (same gun, different features), because I prefer the 'Series 70' type, but the Kimber would be a just as good a choice in my opinion.

SA loaded... they run about $799 at most LGS. Should meet your budget limit.

Springfield is a good choice. I'd recommend finding one that does not have the lock on it, not assembled in Brazil.

I was in your position with a similar budget. Ended up with a SR1911, but if I didn't get the Ruger, it would have been a Sig. Sig 1911s give you a lot of features that most 1911s under $1k won't.

do some research... there are many different 1911 models and types .. but what these guys said.. cant go wrong with any of those choices.

For $900 OTD, not gonna happen! Sorry

Go with the Kimber Custom II, made in America and it's a good pistol.

Second choice would be the RIA Tactical.

                      Good luck!

SR1911 is a great value. At that price point I like the Springfield loaded as well.
