So I bought a Springfield XD9 and it came with a speed loader. How the heck is this thing supposed to be useful? I kind of get the operation but it still seems faster to load by hand ... anyone have any tips or is this just a gimmick?

If its the one im thinking of its not so much a speed loader but more of a tool to keep your thumb from hurting after a lot of loading.

I got one for my pistol cause putting the last 2 rounds in my XD mags would kill my thumbs after a few times."Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without your accordion."

My speedloader came with my CZ. I used it for a while until the springs were finally broken in. Now it's much easier to load up 10 rounds without using the speedloader.Comment
