I recently got a Glock 19 gen 4 to see what is the hype with Glock. I wasn't impress with the grip of the Glock in the beginning compare to 1911, Sig or CZ but it is not bad at all. There is less curve in the front of the grip but when shooting it, the grip really makes no difference.
My main concern is that the Glock 19 experience one stovepipe in the first mag. I thought no big deal since it is still in a break in period. It's a used Glock 19 with a few hundred rounds down range but it's new to me so no biggie. Then the second and the third mag the Glock 19 started throwing brass to my forehead!!! It's all random and about 1 in 5 brass would fly straight to my forehead and very close to my eyes (eye protection is a must when shooting anyways). I retired the Glock 19 early for the range trip since I am tired of catching brass with my forehead. I had about 7 or 8 brass to my forehead before I call it quit.
I tried calling Glock and left a voicemail in their system, then email them about the problem. So far after 3 days, no contact from Glock so I am again disappointed with Glock customer service. Before anyone tells me I should call Glock and talk to a live person on the phone, my schedule doesn't really allow that since I work nights for the past week and I usually wake up after 1pm or 2pm. Their customer service hours was 8am to 4:30pm Eastern time... May be I should just go ahead and order the parts myself and start fixing the Glock Perfection.
