If I bought a CZ 75 from out of state and got it shipped excluding the 16rd mags, would I run into any problems when trying to dros because it has a different SKU? Shipped with 10rd mags the SKU is 01102 with 16rd mags its 91102. Will it matter seeing as how the guns are identical?

There's no SKU on the gun. Often there isn't even one on the box. With 10-round mags it IS sku 01102.

I just bought a CZ SP01 Shardow Target the other day and I can't wait to shoot it. The gun fits my hand like a glove and its as comfortable as my 1911's.

            Yep.

The SKU is whatever the FFL writes it down as...their choice. Be nice to them.

I love CZ's. Most people who are not into firearms have never heard of them. I didn't know much about them either until I saw one at my local range and tried it for the hell of it. Loved it. Luckily found one at my LGS and snatched it up. Picking it up tomorrow from jail. Great ergonomics and very accurate.

I research for 4 months before finally choosing a cz SP-01, been a great gun so far, 1000rd down the pipe one hiccup (ammo related), I put thin grips on mine but might be going back to factory rubber grips, the thin aluminum ones get a little slippery when wet. If you buy one and don't like it the resale on them doesn't really go down, so it's a win win

WEIGHT... the SP-01 weighs 41oz! Unloaded. Now add a light, and load it (luckily in CA that's only 10 rounds of extra weight, and now your pistol weighs enough to be the perfect bench gun. That is not practical, it's gonna be a range gun.

FINISH... It's a baked on Czech PAINT.. Nowhere near the quality of a Meloniting/Tennifer process. Also, the inside of the slide and frame is not really finished, looks more like it's "over sprayed".

SLIDE.. go to the gun store and rack it a few times... and imagine sweaty hands... the slide is so thin (low) its hard to get a quick grip on it, especially with big hands, and some of the edges feel sharp. Plus, the spring is stiff.

Rail... you have to pay $200 more to get a light/laser rail.

Corrosion... The only new SP-01 that I handled in a store was already rusted some on the inside components. My P-01 that I bought also had rust inside that I had to dremel polish off. Not a good sign.

                  HOLSTERS... Not many.
I'll agree on the weight, the purchase area for your hand on the slide, and marginal difficulty finding a good off the shelf holster.

These are all reasons why I think the plain ole 75b, or the 75SA is a better gun. Points more naturally, better balance. Light rails are pretty silly to begin with, unless you are on a swat team.

I have seen many a CZ, never seen rust ever. My 75b finish has held up extremely well. I do not care what the inside of my gun looks like, as long as it is well built. CZ's are hand fit (at least mine was, I can see the file marks). Guns aren't a fashion show, performance is king.

You'll regret selling that CZ someday, mark my words.

OP: You've got a lot of responses here. It's time for you to make up your own mind. Opinions are like nipples: Most people have at least a couple...

It's not on the Roster so it's extremely rare to see one for sale in CA.

You'd have better luck asking if anyone has seen a Yeti in the Bay Area.

Natural pointing weapon for sure. Also love the weight of the weapon, so much more balanced in my opinion. Though it can get tiring to shoot after 100 rounds, wish I had the SP-01 sometimes.
