    CZ Handguns

Been seeing a lot of chatter about CZ's, and horsetrading. What is the attraction? Is it as simple as good quality at a good price? Do they have some patented advantage? Was there a big marketing push at some point?

Good quality at a good price. I think one reason for the sudden surge in interest was a couple of CZs in popular video games. They were always top quality at a [very] good price, but not super popular in the U.S. Now they're top quality at a good price and very popular. Reliable, durable, ergonomic, low bore axis, extremely accurate, somewhat modular and modifiable, etc... what's not to like?

Sounds like it's time for you to get deep in the CZ game.

I think once you pick one up, you will see what all the chatter is about. Great quality, accurate, and has a natural point.

I bought my first CZ many years ago on the recommendation of my friend/gun dealer. He said they were the most underrated and overlooked pistols in the US. Boy was he right. I had never heard of CZ and past them up every time I looked in the glass cases. In the past couple years they have exploded in popularity. The price has also gone up due to high demand. They are still a great value at their current price but 10 years ago they were $200 less. Wish I would have invested in more back then.

I thought it was all hype, then I went to shoot a 75B.

3 weeks later, I ordered one.

              i have a SP-01 and P-01...nuff said.

i also notice that when gun shops get CZs in, they get snatched up very easily. i cant say the same for the Sigs and Glocks. Maybe there's a saturation of Glocks and there's a lot of these made which is why stores always seem to have them. For the Sig, my guess is the price.

That being said, my next handgun will more than likely be a Glock...I need/want a sub-compacrt and the 26 is in my crosshairs.

                Best bang for the buck.

                All steel.
                Good ergos.
                Accurate.
                Reliable.

I have a CZ 75b + the Kadet conversion and a CZ 82. Fun to shoot, easy to hit with.

I agree with Furncliff. You should shoot it alongside a Sig P226 which costs a lot more. Like Glocks, they perform under extreme conditions and last forever. From a value POV, the're hard to beat. My 2 cents

I bought the CZ75 SP-01 and it has quickly become my favorite handgun. Easy to shoot, reasonable cost, steel frame, big as$ tactical pistol. Low recoil, killer fit and finish and fits my hand like a glove, what's not to like?

Nothing wrong with Tupperware pistols, they are great too but in a different way, nothing wrong with 1911s, I have a couple of those too, but I really LOVE my CZ, I am sure I will buy a few more of them.

I think its more a matter that, CZ quality has remained constant, while other competitors like Sig have not.

CZ builds an all metal pistol, that is reliable, accurate, and feels great in the hand. The only reason I think there is so much hype lately, is that people are picking up Sigs etc. and are figuring out they can get a better gun for less money.

I've actually thought about picking up a couple more, in case their quality starts to slide like the rest.

Anybody tried their p-07 duty models? I eventually want an sp-01 tactical and a shadow but the 07 looks sexy and affordable

Owner of an SP-01 Tactical and it pretty much would be my favorite gun. +1 for CZ.

+1, The SP-01 is my favorite out of a collection of 13 handguns. The 75b design is copied a lot. However, it does look like a Browning Hi-Power, so it may be a copy of that. But the Browning is almost double the price. Many will agree that the grip's feel and angle are perfect. And it's the last all metal handgun.
