The Tactical isn't on the Roster, so you're not likely to find it anywhere in CA. At least not in stores that don't do SSE's, and the stores that do typically do it on an as-ordered basis and don't just stock them.

Well... sure. More or less. How about a Colt Z40 or a Springfield P9?

Nothing's particularly similar, as the ergonomics and slide-in-frame design are pretty unique. Just buy a CZ.

I think that is not on the roster, so any high priced ones are factoring in SSE probably.

I think CZs are getting more popular because uspsa and OPEC is becoming more popular and CZs win a lot (as do Glock 34s and 35s)

I have a p01 and it's hands down the illest ccw one can own. It has a NATO stock number on it, NATO approved. Off the chain accuracy, durable as they come, I rely on it with my life. The low bore axes makes fallow up shoots a joy. It makes me look way better then I am with a handgun, on the range. And when you hold one in your hand.....Zen......how a handgun should feel. You need to go shoot one. Then buy. Cz makes some fine weapons, with proven designs

For the price, no one comes close... there like the European 1911, but more reliable then one.

I want a sp01 tac. Real bad.. my bday is coming up, I may have to spoil myself..

It is on the roster. City arms east has it, buy list it more than msrp. I passed it just like other has done. Really wanted it.

The sp01 is on the roster, the sp01 tactical is not.

No. It is not on the roster. Omg people the 75 Tactical on the roster is just that, the cz 75 Tactical (75b decocker version), and the part number specified confirms it. The cz 75 SP-01 Tactical is a totally different gun with a different part number and is NOT on the roster.

                        cz-great pistol-great value

I bought my cz 75bd decocker in 2011. 2000 rounds plus and no failures. I paid $462 direct from CZ USA. Loved it so much I wanted the cz 97b 45 cal. Glocks don't stand a chance against these. My 97b is the most accurate 45 i have ever shot. It has a very manageable recoil. It is rather large and heavy. My first shot at 10 yards at an 8" target was 2.5" from dead center. I have shot many Kimbers and could not match the accuracy of my 97b. I bought it from Buds guns for $602. They are worth the wait. Glock never made a pistol I would trade for either. Plastic guns are for kids,CZ rock

Either people are refusing to believe it or there not reading the list properly. Or have a p01 and think that because there both decockers maybe?

Gotta keep this like Fox News, fair and balanced. I bought one, then sold it. I don't think anyone on here will give you the real negatives, I have a list of 6 (negatives). They are accurate (for most people), and reliable.

I did the same thing yesterday in two other threads... a lot of CZ talk lately..lol.. So, remember, I already said above that they are accurate for most people, and reliable. Ok, now Fox News adds the other side...

WEIGHT... the SP-01 weighs 41oz! Unloaded. Now add a light, and load it (luckily in CA that's only 10 rounds of extra weight, and now your pistol weighs enough to be the perfect bench gun. That is not practical, it's gonna be a range gun.

FINISH... It's a baked on Czech PAINT.. Nowhere near the quality of a Meloniting/Tennifer process. Also, the inside of the slide and frame is not really finished, looks more like it's "over sprayed".

SLIDE.. go to the gun store and rack it a few times... and imagine sweaty hands... the slide is so thin (low) its hard to get a quick grip on it, especially with big hands, and some of the edges feel sharp. Plus, the spring is stiff.

Rail... you have to pay $200 more to get a light/laser rail.

Corrosion... The only new SP-01 that I handled in a store was already rusted some on the inside components. My P-01 that I bought also had rust inside that I had to dremel polish off. Not a good sign.

                                HOLSTERS... Not many.
