22 handgun recomendation

I currently own a remington 870, a rock island .45, a 9mm cco i put together and a mosin negant So my next firearm purchase is gonna be a 22. I was thinking about just buying a 22 rough rider because its pretty cheap i like single action revolvers and can swap the cylinders. mostly because its cheap though. But now im thinking of a ruger mark III Can anyone talk me out of or recommend a different pistol for around that price?

the MKIII is good, personally I have an SR22p because its less of a pain to put back together after cleaning.

Ruger MK II 5 inch bull barrel 'Target' model. More reliable, easier to clean.

Any in the Colt Woodsmen series would be good. All are C&R and roster exempt.

Revolvers are fun. If you're considering that route, I'd go with it for sure. The nicest choice would be a Ruger with the interchangeable .22 LR and .22 WMR cylinders.

You could get a conversion slide for your 1911, but they're generally not the most reliable and you can often find a complete gun for the same price.

SR22 is definitely good to go. I've got my eye out out for a dedicated .22lr target pistol too though.

Ruger MK III 22/45 5.5 inch bull barrel. I put 50 rounds through one last Saturday and I really enjoyed the lack of recoil and accuracy. Now I will be saving my pennies. I can dial my groups in with the .22 and continue with 9mm and .45.

The SR22P is pretty fun. Whenever I start shooting with it, I *always* think "Why am I shooting this thing that has almost no recoil and makes such small holes?" (I love the 10/22, FWIW.) But after reloading at least seven, eight times, I have to force myself to stop shooting it and move onto another gun. There's just something about it that grows on me every time.

If you have an existing CZ 75 then you definitely have to get the Kadet 2 22LR conversion kit, it is really fun to shoot! better than the 1911 conversion kits on your existing 1911's!

I have both the Ruger SR22 and the GSG 1911-22 . Both guns have been very realiable and fun. I prefer the GSG and its currently my favorite gun to shoot. 500rds at the range only cost me 20 bucks! Love that.

Why would I want to try and talk you out of an awesome choice? The Ruger MkIII (and 22/45 flavor) are excellent.

I have a Browning Buckmark Camper and a Ruger SR22P. Can't go wrong with either! The last two people that have gone to the range with me that had zero experience with either seemed to favor the Buckmark more. The trigger is very smooth with a short reset in comparison to the Ruger. Two different designs with different results. I still love them both.

Already have the SR22 and like it. I hope to get the 22/45 in the near future.
