22 handgun recomendation

i was in the same basic situation so i just bought the cheapest .22 in the local gun shop on consignment it happened to be a Ruger MKII standard for 200 bucks yeah 10mm,9mm,.223 and everything else is getting expensive for me.

I bought a ruger do to the most recommendations so trust in the ruger Mark series and dont be afraid to buy used,

I have a Ruger SR22 that I love, but recently bought a S&W MP22 that I like even more. I'd give both of those a look. Both are very accurate and reliable but I prefer the S&W because it's full size and I've always wanted an M&P. Can't go wrong either way.

I had a buckmark and traded it for an SR22P. The SR22P is smaller, lighter and has a shorter sight radius, but man, it's a fun little gun.

Here's 40 rounds rapid fired @ 10 yds using a laser.

Ruger MK II 5 inch bull barrel 'Target' model. More reliable, easier to clean.

Ruger MKIII 22/45. Probably the best 22 hand gun I've ever owned. Start adding a few upgrades over time and you've got a nice rabbit getter/tack driver.

Ruger Single-Ten. A single action "Stainless" 10 shot revolver. Comes with Hi-Viz front sight

This was more accurate to shoot, and worked great in rimfire steel matches.






This takes more concentration to shoot since it's a little harder to aim, but IMO it's more fun to shoot.





Both run 100% reliable with pretty much any .22LR round.

Ruger Mk3 target, very reliable, accurate and fun to shoot. I also have a beretta neos which is as fun to shoot as the Mk3 but much easier to field strip.

For plinkers for the urchins, I got the ruger sr22 and walther p22 and both have operated flawlessly with cci mm and stingers. They are very similar designs, but the P22 has a slightly softer recoil due to the larger recoil spring. Its more time consuming to reassemble the p22 because of the longer spring though.
