A gun that isn't shot is denied its purpose... reduced to a meaningless existence without function.NRA Patron Member
I've written up my ongoing adventures as I learn to hunt.
Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.
I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.
I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.Comment

Guns are made to shoot; even the 'pretty' ones. Enjoy them for what they are.Comment

Here's the deal. You treasure the piece, treat it like a holy relic, wipe it down with oil from unicorn tears with a baby seal skin chamois. It has a place of honor in your collection and remains in perfect factory condition.
You die. Your kid or grandkids inherit the piece, most likely handed down by your wife or girlfriend who outlives you. The piece is shot all to hell, tons of +P loads, dirty loads, left uncleaned, thrown in a toolbox with the wrenches, carried across streams and in the rain. Do the math.
Hey, she's a beauty, but eventually she's going to be deflowered and used for what she was made for. It might as well be you doing the deed and having the fun. I'd shoot her, carry her in a holster, and enjoy the heck out of her. If she wears out, you'll be able to think back on all the good times together. Better you than someone else.
If you can't bring yourself to take her out and show her a good time, I'll send you my mailing address.
Have fun you two!

I don't think it's nice,...you laughing.
You see, my mule don't like people laughing.
He gets the crazy idea you're laughing at him.
Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to,
I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.Comment

Great looking pistol. Congrats!
I bought S&W model 14-3 no box, 8 3/8" barrel, TTT, just a little dirty.
Shoot her when I want something different than a semi auto.
A lot of fun, wanna be "Dirty Harry" magnum in a 38 special price.Comment
