Compact 9mm recommendation please

I need to purchase a compact 9mm. Let me first say that the last 9mm I bought was a BHP 30 years ago. I love that gun but I'm not overly fond of the caliber although I know the technology of the SD ammunition these days helps to make up for some of it's short comings.

It needs to be compact, 10+1 and DA. I have looked at the G26 and the P2000 LEM.

Any other suggestions?

With a little work, the trigger can have the crispness and reset almost identical to a 1911. Great little guns that can be found in the $350 range.

+1 Great gun. Only complaint I would have about mine are the tiny sights. Granted, it's a defensive pistol and not a target shooter, but I would still prefer it to have the larger night sights like on its bigger brother the SP-01.
