    Goggle is your friend.

If you expect the paint to do the job of night sights you'll be very disappointed. I've used the brightsights kit and it's not that good.

Might try white nail polish, but just wonder if there are other options.

Thieves are the lowest form of life out there, except for liberal politicians, of course, but that's redundant.

I've tried a variety of inexpensive options (but not Bright Sights, due to the other experiences), including fluorescent and glow-in-the-dark paint and g-i-t-d stick-ons.

I find reds don't work well for me, partly because of shooting at red bulls on targets, and partly because most reds really aren't that bright and contrasty. It's not so bad on black silhouettes. Likewise, whites get lost against white targets as well. The dayglow and g-i-t-d colors don't seem to make much difference.

My favorite paint color so far is bright green - the brighter and lighter, the better. It stands out well against almost everything, and my eye picks it up quickly.

A translucent red/orange or green insert is more effective, probably because it's picking up more light from the sides and seems to stand out better.

That said, none of them are very effective in low light, or when you're shooting from an unlit area into a bright area, because there's not enough ambient light to make the sight stand out.

None of them hold up to good tritium inserts with bright white circles around them, IMO.

As far as getting clean dots or blades with paint - practice, practice, practice, and degrease thoroughly first (90% drugstore alcohol on q-tips works well and is reasonably non-toxic). Trim paintbrushes down, use toothpicks, try a bunch of variety of applicators, because paint thickness and consistency varies a lot, and what works well for one won't work with another.

At walmart they sell Testors model paint in little bottles. They have whatever color you need. I like the bright fluorescent orange but they have fluorescent yellow and green too. I usually use a tooth pick to put it on. Mark

I use florecent, spray paint from Ace Hardware. I spray a little into the lid and use a very small artist's brush to paint onto the sights. I use bright orange on the rear and bright green on the front. The contrast makes for a really good sight picture and these two colors seem to work best for me. It's especially easy when your sights are dimpled like CZ's sights are.
I've spent most of my money on guns, motorcycles and beer....... The rest I just wasted.

Funny, I guess I'm the outcast here. I use a sharpi black marker and darken the white spots on my sights (glock). I find the color only distracts my night vision when shooting at night.

I only put the color on the sights when I was shooting regularly at an indoor range with very poor lighting and lots of shadows. Colored sights are not my first choice

+1 on the testors! I use the florescent orange on the serrations up front and flat black on the rear.. It lasts really well IMHO, and is easy to touch-up if need be. I just did my Taurus M85->

Because one of my hobbies is model aircraft I have just about every color Testors makes. I like the orange best on my revolvers. White or bright green on my autos.
