Small and powerful is very vague. You can pretty much get anything small and powerful these days.

      .45acp in a officer's sized 1911.

      .357mag in a 2in barrel revolver.

      .44mag in 2in barrel revolver.

      10mm Glock subcompact.

      .357sig in subcompact semi-auto.

Might I suggest you come over to Bullseye...we have a large selection of small and powerful hand guns in both a revolver and semi platform.

Our staff will work with you to find the one that is perfect for you.

Powerful = stopping power = major caliber to me.

So something at .40 and above. Lots of sub-compacts, revolvers, to choose from.

Small and powerful sounds great until you shoot it and experience pain in your shooting hand. I suggest looking around for compact models of 1911s, Glocks, SA XD, Kahr and so on. It will really be bad if you see one that fits the size you're looking for and first time out at the range at first round you feel like your hand was hit by a yard stick. Go to the range and rent the guns you are interested in and shoot the ammo you intend to load it up with, not some downloaded target loads.
