Is it possible to change the fiber optic rod ?

Is the front red fiber optic bright enough for indoor lightong with blackened rear sights?

IMHO, no, it's really dim indoors, I can barely see it. Outdoors, you get the glow but indoors, it needs some help. I ordered the Dawson tubes, I am going to try white fiber optic.

Lets us know, white optic fiber rods from dawson?
dawson optic fiber are of awesome quality, I just got three optic fiber front sights for my glocks.

I am thinking about blackening dy9 rear sights with white board marker, if it sticks when i get it. I used the marker on glock oem rear sights and I am happy with the results.

          Thanks

The front red fiber is dim indoors or out compated to other fiber optic sights i have used. I still prefer the blacked out rear sights since the green fiber rears are brighter and distracting, pulls your focus on the rear sights.

I'm going to black my rear sights out and try white up front.

Is the front sight usable with blackened rear?

I have the same question, due to not satisfactory sights.

What do you guys think? Is it worth even with Sight issues ( not so bright)?

                      Thanks

I bought 2 right of the bat. Now that I own them...I think I should have bought 3 lol.. They are actually good looking and good feeling guns for the price. I can think of worse ways to spend the money and not have much to show for it. I called a local gun store and was told that they are already $700-$1,500 for used glocks with a few police trades that they will be getting starting at $699 so $300+ fees for a new gun (yes...it's not a Glock...I know) is worth it to me. I'm on a kick of buying budget guns like Canik METE, Derya, Rock Island , echelon, PDP, M&P Metal...so take that for what it's worth.

Sights can be modded and eventually replaced. If enough Derya's sell, we know that capitalism will cause someone to see that there is a market for replacement sights for all of the DY9s out there. I challenge you to find a better defensive handgun for $299.99, especially here in Commifornia.

I thought that pistol was a glock gen3 clone? If so you should have plenty of sight options

+1 on what capy says. I was wondering if some are painting rear sights black, can't the front sight be painted florescent orange, hot pink or something in the interim?

Got it, I am also looking for a cheap, reliable HD gun.

Did anyone try it with HD rounds?
