    Home defense question

If you were to bet your life on one handgun, what would it be?

    Aww not this **** again!

Seriously though OP, any brand name or pricetag of the equipment that you choose will not make it automatically jump up and save your life nor does it guarantee that it will work reliably. What you asked is pretty much the same as, "what is the best handgun out there?" There is no right or wrong answer. The best for you might not be the best for someone else. What is best is more subjective than objective.

The best handgun for you will be the one that you have proven to be reliable and have come to be proficient with. It can be a Ruger, Glock, Smith, Sig, or even a Hi-Point. Remember, the equipment does not make the man. Go out and rent a vairety pistols to find which one fits you. Then practice and practice some more.

      ok; I will play.

Remington 870, sure it isn't a handgun but I don't think anyone standing on the business end of it would bother to make that distinction

I filled them in with a white crayon and a blow dryer. No reason, I just liked the way it looks.

my H&K P30L. never had a jam or a misfire with it. Although I trust pretty much all my guns, except my 22 pistol

Glock 23, because I only have two Glocks and the other one is a Glock 21, which would also do, but I don't shoot it as well, especially if I needed a one handed shot.

I have trusted my Glock 17 for 13 years now. It has fired over 30,000 rounds without one failure. I'd say its record is worth trusting

I would say Beretta 92FS or Sig P226.. Can't go wrong with one of the highest selling handguns out there
