I reload 9mm. I can shoot plated for around 130 / thousand, and lead for about $90, and if I cast my own lead about $65 or so per k

Oh and the one box of wolf I've shot worked fine

I know that this has been covered in many other threads, but since we are talking about it and I am considering buying re-loading equipment; how long does it take you to reload 1000 rounds once the brass is collected (not including tumbling time)? How long does it take you to cast 1000 bullets?

I can't speak for johnny, but I can tell you about my reloading and that reloading times in general depends on your equipment and experience.

I have a Lee Turret Press which "I" have to turn the turret every time. I do have an automated powder dropper that helps save time; no measuring and loading powder by hand.

I de-prime my brass first. About 20 mins to do 250 rounds. Then into the tumbler for about 2 1/2 hours on low. Next comes the reloading. Depending on how I feel I can load about 50 rounds in 45 mins. I think the best I've ever done was 50 rounds in about 20 mins. When I first started reloading it took me a little over an hour to load 50 rounds. The more I did it the fast I got. Also, on this machine I could not keep up the pace of 50 in 20 for a full hour.

Now if you really want to load up some rounds quickly you will need to get a progressive press. I have heard good things about Dillon Precision presses. They say that you can load up to 500 rounds an hour with their Square Deal B press. If you get their RL550 B they say you can load up to 600 rounds per hour.

        Have fun reloading.

        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I just picked up 1000 rounds of 9mm from him and went to the range. Good stuff and a great guy to deal with.
Homer Simpson to FFL regarding 5 day wait period, "Awwwwwww 5 days??? But I'm angry now....
