    Question about 9mm ammo.

I am looking at buying some bulk 9mm ammo (1,000 rounds +) for my first Glock. My first question would be about these deals:

    Wolf Gold 9MM (1,000 rounds for $96.00 - $0.10P/R)
    This Tula Ammo 9mm (900 rounds for $170.00 - $0.17P/R)
    Aguila 9mm (1,000 rounds at $200.00 - $0.20P/R)
    And finally Federal American Eagle 9mm (1,000 rounds at $220.00 - $0.22P/R)

This ammo will be used fairly quick, and I know Wolf is obviously a poor choice (corrosive, no?), but as it will be used for paper shooting/practice, will I see much of a return on any of them? Assuming I get into reloading, will any of these leave me with some brass I can reload, or is doing 9mm not really worth it? They are all 115gr, minus the Aguila which is 124gr, will I see any noticeable advantage/disadvantage to these choices?

They will all be used in a Glock 17 if it makes a shred of difference. So Calgunners, which would you purchase? And if you have experience with any of these rounds, I would greatly appreciate some wisdom, as always! Thanks guys.

Havent shot wolf 9mm but i can tell u their 223 was pretty crappy, it was dirty and we had a few fails. For that price though it may be worth it if u plan to shoot alot. But i think its corrosive (not positive) which involves some extra cleaning steps. Tula is also crappy (steel, hard primers, dirty) and im no reloader but pretty sure most ppl dont reload steel. Federal is my favorite range ammo but 220 is not a great price. Cheaper by the hundreds at walmart.

And from what i understand, unless ur shooting ALOT, 9 is not worth reloading unless u wanna customize ur loads. Ive been shooting around 400 rounds a week lately and after lookin at prices for reloading equipment plus primers and slugs it doesnt seem worth all the effort.

U might look into jack ross or LAX. Both are reloaded ammo but pretty cheap and the reviews are solid. I shoot federal at $20/100. Next gunshow im gunna give LAX a try at $170/1,000.

          9MM ammo

Check out Bulletman ammo under the ammo and reloading section 1000rds of 9mm for $189 shipped to San Diego, Its reloads but very good ammo, As far as the wolf ammo did you see that on Buds gun shop this morrning, 1000 rds for $97 and I jumped on it but got an Email this afternoon that said it was listed wrong and should of stated for 500rds.

I canceled the wolf ammo and they are issuing me a $10 store credit

Of those choices, I'd go with American Eagle.

I run it through my 1911 in .45 ACP and have never had a quality issue with them. I also use it in my long guns.

Definitely shop around tho...I'll bet you could find a good deal.

If that is actually "wolf gold" id jump on it. Wolf gold is brass cased. Picture shows different, so I would give them a call.

Yeah wolf isnt corrosive and the guy above me is right. It says wolf gold but it shows a different box. I was going to call right now to see whatsup but theyre closed right now. If thats real wolf gold for that price im gonna have to pull out the credit card.

The wolf is steel cased ... so it will depend on where you are shooting and if they allow steel casings. Personally, I tend to stick to brass cased FMJ, which increases the price. For brass cased factory loads, 20 cents is pretty much the benchmark.

And the description says wolf gold, which is brass cased, hence people saying the OP should call.
