That's a good point as I forgot to mention that. The store I was in had a CPO 226 W German that looked newer than the new 226R they had.

Sig quality has gone massively down hill, and they have poor customer service with a bad attitude. Pretty much common knowledge at this point.

I don't regret burning some bridges. I regret that some people weren't on those bridges when I burnt them!

Shot in excess of 15 sigs (Sig pro's, 229's, 228's, 226's 220's, and 239's you name it). Thousands of rounds and never an issue except with a P220 and it was fixed. I've owned 3 (w. German Sig being one) and it should never left the factory, but it worked and continues too after 20 plus years.

There returns are below 1% so I dont see them doing anything worse or better than other companies at this point. There was a recent rust or rust related spring issues on the MK25 I saw on the forum today or yesterday. That said someone must have forget to coat it or did something wrong in the process. I truly doubt someone had the audacity to just put a rusted spring into a gun for the hell of it. None the less, Sig will make it right.

I prefer buying used ones ONLY because its easier on my wallet. I shoot new ones all the time, LEO's let me try theirs and I have 6-7 friends who have at-least 2 models each.

Do you ever have anything nice to say about Sigs? I'm sorry you had what you believe was a bad experience but come on man, bashing 100% of the time is uncalled for.

The reality of it is this...none of the manufacturers produce 100% perfect products 100% of the time. The rusted spring MK25 thread has me stumped but I don't care if it Ford vs Chevy, Maytag vs Whirlpool, S&W vs Glock....none of them produce a 100% efficiency rating. Should they,IMO yes but the reality is none of them do.

I'd say cite some but I'm sure there all stories from "the range". That said CPO's are good deals but depending on model and stuff, the CPO may not always be more feasible compared to the new ones. I wish all CPO's were refinished (considering its 80 bucks for Sig to do it).

Yea I think he just hates Sigs in general. I shot a USP that brand new, out of box, wouldnt reset the trigger. It sure as hell hasnt scared me away from HK.

+1 on the manufacturer's. NO ONE, makes guns like they did 20 years ago. Its just the way it goes.

My only experience with Sig customer service was quite good. I called them to ask them to send me the latest Sig 522 parts since I had heard that they upgraded the internals to be less failure prone. The guy on the phone was very helpful and said he'd send them right out to me. Even sent me a tracking number. Haven't needed to call them for anything else...

I had QC problems with my 226, but I have no problem at all with their CS. The problem was fixed very fast.

Nothing I have on hand. But when I was looking into getting my Sig I thought that A CPO would be a good affordable option, that is until i started reading on the sigforum that the CPO's finish started flaking off & rust was found underneath. Not saying thats all of them, but enough posts to make me go another route.

CPOs come with a one year warranty. If there is a problem contact their customer service they will send you a shipping label for return and repair.
