Yup. Nothing is better than going to the range and letting kids shoot a gold Desert Eagle. Talk about a time in a kids life they will never forget

D Eagle with 10" barrel is on my list for dismountable stock/holster comb

in the tradition of Broom Handle Mauser auto.

Two other guns I'm wanting to do that for are Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 mag with 10.5" barrel and the Ruger convertible .22/22mag in 10" barrel.

Yeah, I know about the $200 short barrel rifle tax. Any other probs anyone sees?

I'm pretty sure I can talk my machinist buddies into doing the work for the holster/stock attachment (still to be designed).

Save your money, they are crap. I have owned one. Worst bang for your buck out of any firearm I have ever owned. It was fun to shoot, but much too expensive to shoot. No practicality to it, at all. Unless you want to use it as a movie prop.

If you bought a Desert Eagle looking for a bang for your buck then you bought it for the wrong reason. You buy a .50 Desert Eagle because you have some extra cash that you have no other use for and to put a smile on other peoples faces. I take mine to the range everytime I go and the last dozen times I wasn't even the one firing it. Like everyone I like to chat with people at the range and when I see dads with their boys I'll ask them if they want to shoot it. It's very expensive to shoot but they are not anywhere near crap.

Mr 310, on further investigation, I guess not ALTHOUGH

since the Rugers would be kinda of novelty and Western-kool, maybe, but it wouldn't be worth doing just for that.

But since it is just a stock handgun till the stock is attached.....

Desert Eagle is the handgun you get when you already have everything else and are running out of new things to buy. At $1 a shot its a novelty.

                  However, it is quiete badass.

For me, it's right up there with an AMT Automag. I want one really badly, but just to put up on the wall. I think I'd rather have the AMT between the two, though.

Squid, I've watched many a video on YouTube of the Ruger. They look like awesome guns!

Election year. Every manufacturer is seeing 200 - 500% increase over last year.

                          Here's mine.

50AE 6" and 10" barrels with an extra 6" .44 magnum barrel for good measure.

I agree...I have everything and have sold a couple on here. I know I could buy 2 rifles for the price of that one, but theres just something about a DE that no other handgun has...
