SR22, because it feeds EVERY type of ammo I've put through it (Federal bulk, Remington golden bullets, Blazer bulk, Winchester bulk, and of course CCI minimags). Shot nearly 5,000 rounds with maybe 5-6 FTFeeds (weak ammo didn't cycle gun properly to pick up another round from magazine). One blown casing (Remington golden bullet) but the SR22 had no damage at all. No FTEs whatsoever. The beefy extractor works really good. Ruger has hit a homerun with this one. Don't even think about it, just buy it anywhere you can get it. I ordered mine from kygunco.com for $299 the first couple weeks it was out. Their site now says sold out but add them to your email and they will let you know when it is available. People should start getting it back in stock soon. The SR22 is extremely fun to shoot and it's pretty damn accurate for a 3.5 barrel. Goodluck!

Don't know about that; I've seen several at local gunstores. But yeah, I've only heard crap about the "Walthers"

My friends have both those .22s, both are pretty nice, the design, shape, size is very similar between the two. I like them both, but the Ruger seems a little nicer. The barrel on the SR22 stands out and seems pretty nice.

I would have no problem owning the walther, but I would get the SR22.

Thanks for the insight. How much did the SR22 come out to OTD? After tax, shipping, FFL, etc.

                  Thanks

If anyones interested, "Guns, fishing and other stuff" in Vacaville is having "Ruger Days" this weekend starting tomorrow. The SR22P is going for $310 plus taxes and fees.

They said if they run out, they'll order you one and you'll get it at the sale price.

Thanks for the heads up skosk.

But darn. I left my HSC at my cousin's house and won't get it until after the weekend. Am I able to DROS a gun without my HSC and simply show them my HSC when I pick up?

I guess I was lucky with my P22. But it's also recent production. It eats everything I feed it including Federal bulk. I haven't had a single problem yet. But it's only had about 300 rounds through it.

For a backpacking gun for plinking, the P22 is lighter and smaller than the Ruger.

I second that. Mine has been great too.

Envy and K1, consider yourselves lucky. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=163362 I have seen several of these same breaks on other boards as well.

I have no problem hitting the steel at 25 yards at ASR. I think it might be your technique.

No reason I can hit twice as far more accurately with the same firearm and it be the firearms fault.
