Crazy. I saw your other post then saw this. I would think if Federal warned Walmart of a known problem, they would let you return this stuff. I am also sure Walmart doesn't want a lawsuit for issues that may arise from selling incorrectly labeled boxes of ammo. Loading 9mm into a gun chambered for .40S&W has great potential for going very wrong. I think the "no returns on ammo" is excepted in this case. They would WANT you to return it.

stops counting federal as being worth a damn. Note to self, never buy Federal products again. Sorry, but they let this sort of junk slip by who knows what else is slipping. Anyone KB'd a gun on Federals lately? Any company that would allow that to happen deserves to be shut down. You can hurt people with mislabeled ammo.

50 rounds of 40 vs 50 rounds 9mm, the weight difference is significant,

Federal has officially sent out notices to be put out acknowledging the ammo mix up.

                      damn

I always check my ammo before checking out since I got screwed once before. That's pretty wild.

BTW, I was at Rifle Gear yesterday and they were selling Federal .40S&W cheaper than Wal Mart. Good stuff!

The guys at Walmart swapped out my ammo and made everything right with the world again.

Looks like it was federal's mistake and they now have memos posted on the ammo case.

                          Thanks Walmart!

They are actually made by Sellier & Bellot specially for Cabelas.

I order thousands of rounds of federal and only had one bad load.

I've had 4 whole boxes of hornady .338 that were over or under charged out of about 350 rounds.

I've had 4 out of 6000+ Remington .22lr gold fail.

I think the issue is with every factory. You may just be more unlucky than others.

By the way when I had mixed .308 and .243 in my Winchester boxes I could have easily made a mistake and chambered the wrong one but I check every factory round before use. The same policy as my reloading bench.
