    Calif handgun list.

Some mod # have a high cap mag and a 10rd mag option. Is it legal for me to purchase a used handgun from a out of state dealer without mags. If gun is not on list due to mag cap and you purchase a legal 10 rd mag, is gun considered legal to have in calif.

As long as it goes to a cali FFL dealer first. Read the wiki. Also, if the handgun is not on the list, it will not be legal no matter what the mag capacity is.

The gun being on or off the list is not related to mag capacity.

What you need to do is decide which gun you want, roster or not. Then, buy it from a private party if you can find one for sale in CA, or get it from a dealer via SSE.

If you post which gun you want to buy, members here can tell you how feasible it is, or which dealers already have the SSE parts for that gun.

If a gun is on the DOJ list, it is NOT legal under any means if it's not a registered AW.

You should be asking questions about the handgun roster.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

          RIGHT.

Now that the Single Shot Exemption and Single Action Only Revolver Exemptions are fully understood there is no reason that you couldn't by most any handgun that you want.

If you don't know about the SSE/SAORE please read these threads:

          Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
