I figure that the breech block is better for maintenance because you can swap it out your self. Not gonna lie, I think the original slide looks pretty sexy.

uh, wish I could have them all.
It's better if you like maintenance there is no breech block to replace on a machined SS Sig slide.

The SS slide is more durable and better.

But you still have an awesome gun I wish I could find one. I'm just about to pick up a Sig P226 TacOps though.

          lol I know

god, ugh. All I can think about is the p226. Why is it always so painful?

After 4 handguns, you'd think it wouldn't bother me anymore. BS

I'll have to check that out but I can't imagine having 3 P226's in 9mm though

I want all of them, except the diamond one or the one with the huge LCI and lasers.

Just give me your W. Germany P226 if you have one. That way you'll still only have two 9mm P226's

A disadvantage of the folded slides is that you're supposed to remove the internal extractor when you replace the roll pins and pull the breach block. You're supposed to replace it instead of reinstalling it.

I don't know that the milled slides are any stronger...you would think they would be, as the folded slides flex...but they are just easier to mill domestically. The folded slides took a lot of work with the folding of the sheet steel and then welding on the end caps before fitting the breach block to the assembly

                      I agree.

Need to try me a 226 with SRT installed. Would like to get one installed, but then again the range I go to, you can't double tap
