The 226 in 9mm is a great pistol. Got mine out to the last IDPA shoot and placed high with it. Standard trigger, no SRT. Still a very fast shooter. Not a single failure in the 2000 rounds i have shot with it.

Panda- Have you ever shot a P226 in .40S&W? Just looking for a comparison between the 2.

I owned the german made p226 chambered in .40, with the internal extractor, I had it for almost a year and the p226 is destined to be in 9mm. Even though the gun can control the .40 since it's heavy, but when you shoot 9mm, it almost feels like a .22. After each shot, the sights go back to the target, for me at least. With the .40, there is too much snap

I have my german 9mm in prison for now,

Yeah that is why I like my 1911 in 38 super. It soaks up the recoil and I load the 38 super down to a 9mm.

Hey, Jonzer. Do we have a reloading section here?

                    I can't find it.

There are some good stickies on getting setup depending on your budget.

                        Gotcha.

I'm gonna start a thread and see what people think if I have enough room to reload.

                            Sig 226...

Glad you like the 226 - if you really want to go for broke - the SIG X-FIVE is amazing. I made the mistake of trying one from a guy at the range one day. I had been completely happy with my Springfield 1911 9mm until that point.

Now - I've put several thousand rounds through the X-Five. I was forced to send my Springfield to their custom shop as a result. They did a great job fitting a match barrel/bushing/link, slide fit, trigger job, and some nice cosmetic work. Now the Springfield is on par with the X-Five - well the trigger is a little cleaner.

Both are real nice in 9mm and a pure joy to shoot.

I love my W. German 226 in 9mm. So accurate, so fun to shoot and super pretty! You really can't go wrong with them.
