Somebody's got to say it, Colt Python.

+1 on the Python. That is what sits in the hand safe at bedside along with a 4Sevens Tac Light and a couple speedloaders. No safety, no interlocks and they always go bang. If you need more than 6 you need more practice or a rifle!

This, or the 586, would be my choice. I like the K frames but they are a bit light for 357 use. The L frame is larger and heavier, the lugged barrel is a bit different.

A Colt New Service or a Ruger Redhawk in 357, if you can find one, would be different too.

This. I love my Smiths but the Pythons are next level. I have to say, my model 19 is one sweet revolver though.

Seconded. I got one of these for a song recently and it is the bee's knees. It's an N frame so with .38spl it barely moves in my hands, and hot .357 is plenty manageable.

Great suggestions. Just started reading about the Rossi R9720X series. Looks pretty promising, and affordable.

Still like the Rhino for its uniqueness, but damn... highway robbery on prices.

Roster doesn't apply to me. Also, would like something with at least 4" barrel.

                    Prelock 686's are nice...

Not rare, but I'm sure they'll outlast me! And they keep their value... (off list)

X2 on the 586. I've had Ruger's (security6) and a couple Pythons. I'll never pay for another Python. Rediculous price for nothing special. I liked my 586 way better. I like the 686 as well, especially with the extra round.

We shoot the model 10, which is a .38, not a 357 fyi. Sometimes a model 65 will show up. 14s, 19s, and 15s not so much due to the adj sights.

If you can find one I would get a Colt Peace Keeper

                              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

S&W 586 will solve all your problems. If you want to get a little fancier go with the 586-7 7 shot like mine below.

                                It's too late, it's over.
