    HELP sig p220 problem

I bought this sig p220r used a couple months ago.The first time I took it to the range ran about 300 rounds, about every 100th round or so it would have a failure to feed but only if I drop the slid down on a full mag not when racking it back and it was always the second round, the first round shot fine but second will ftf this happened on two different types of ammo.Brought it home put a new guide rod spring but still doing it at home but now on the first bullet but like i said only if I drop the slide a few times, this does not happen when I rack it back YET.I have tried a different mag and it still does the same thing, both mags are used (hoping its just the springs on the mags) and I have ordered two brand new ones but there not here yet to try. Here are some pics.

Seems to be catching rite here in the red but i could be wrong is this gap suppose to be this big? Taking a look at my xd and the sig is double the gap.

I just looked at mine. There's a little play in the barrel, but even if I manually pull the barrel as far forward as I can, the gap is smaller on mine. I'm not a gunsmith so I don't know if it's your problem, but it's a definite difference.

Call Sig. They have a limited lifetime warranty. I'm sure you can send it to them and have them take care of it.

I know that a Glock 19 isn't a Sig P220, but I do have a P220 Elite Dark. Anyways, with my Glock I was also experiencing FTF and FTRB. I solved the FTRB when I was accidentally sweeping the slide stop, I was also doing the samething w/ my P220 with the thumbs forward grip. Anyways, your problem is with the magazine spring. If it is a used Sig find out if the springs where ever changed. I replaced the springs w/ Wolff springs with the extra power and the problems went away. Good luck and check before you send it to Sig.

If the new mags don't solve my issue this might be my next step.

Here are couple pics of my P220. I didn't resize them so you can better see feed rump and insert. I hope it will help.

Check recoil spring. I had the same issue, but it was with reloads. Is spring has green markings on one of the ends?

Take the old spring out and pull it longer, then put it back in and test. If it solve the problem then it is your mag spring. Replace them. If not, then you have other issues.

RRichie09 is right, the feed ramp looks weird, it like a piece of the feed ramp chipped. My 220 feed ramp don't look like that.
