Hmmmm. Seems weird that you would be having this problem.

First off, Springfield customer service is awesome.

Second, check out XDtalk.com. That is a great forum for all XD questions with tons of experience in XD's and any issues.

    Good luck.

I have the XDM 9mm 4.5 bitone for a month now, absolutely zero issues feeding it Winchester WB, Federal Bulk, UMC and also the Winchester 147 grain hollowpoints. It seems to be eating everything I throw at her.

On side note, I do clean it after every shoot. UMC was the dirtiest, both WWB and Federal were similar in residue

Planning to buy the XDM 9mm compact as well

Im shooting privi ammo and its pretty dirty. The front part of my xdm was covered in grime. The fiber optic fs was getting covered in powder residue. It made it a little hard to see the fs.

Update ill most likely be able to go to the range this sunday. Ill bring the diff ammos i bought and hopefully ill be able to find some experienced shooters to help me out. Anyone from the sac area would like to jiin me that would b cook. Im going to the gun room in elk grove

I'm living in AZ right now and just absolutely love shooting the XDm 9 Compact. It's new and I've had zero issue with anything I've put through it. I think I like it better than my XD 40 Tactical! Helluva gun...

I have the XDM45 4.25. When I bought it new via SSE it only came with 10rd mags. and SA also sent me 3 10round mags. So far I've shot about 400 rounds with zero issues. I was using Winchester and Federal ammos. SA said the mags they sent to me were the XD ones.

                      UPDATE!!!

OK so i finally went to the range today. Bought different brands of ammo as well. So it turns out it was partly me and partly the spring is my guess.
I had one dude shot my xdm and it worked out fine. My buddy shot it who never has shot a 45cal pistol and there was no problems. Then i went and it was fine.
Although i did have 2 FTF out of 250rds or so (FTE on my glock) but i think i might have limped wrist a bit.
But i think the springs were a little stiff. So 3 or 4 days before i went to the range i loaded up all 3 of my xdm mags and let it sit for a few days. I guess that helped a lot cause there wasn't any problems other than 3 i mentioned above.
                      So i'm happy now

My other question is, when you limp wrist, can all pistols 1911's, CZ, glocks, FN, or any other brands (semi-autos) cause it to FTF or FTE? Is it that sensitive? Or is it only certain brands of pistols are more prone or more sensitive to FTF or FTE when you limp wrist?

Sorry for the newb question but i I'm not to familiar with pistols and the glock and my xdm that i own is my first pistols in a long while and the .45cal is my first pistol i've ever owned and i only owned 2 9mm first one being my HI power browning.

Just about any semi auto can be limp wristed.

It really seems guns that have less "natural" grip angles are a little more sensitive to it. Not sure why. Personally I think glocks really lock your wrist down, which in turn helps with perceived recoil, and for me make it very odd to shoot.

Yes. My 9 yo and I son together quite often and he is prone to limp wrist if he forgets to concentrate on it.

Whether it is a the GSG 1911 in .22 or the XDM in 9mm, we shoot the same ammo back to back and while I have zero issues, he will experience 20-30% FTEs.
