maybe the springs in the mags are stiff? trying loading them up for a week. that is what i did with my glock 30 mags when they were new."I'm not in this world to live up to your expectations and you're not in this world to live up to mine."

I tried 2 diffrent ammo. Privi and magtech. When i have it a full mag and i shot the first rd it ftf. I happen both times with the diff ammo. But when i have it half full it doesnt ftf. But it does happen once or twice. When its full it will ftf 3 times in a row or even 4.
Ill buy diff brand and have other people shoot it and see what happens. It could b me but that many times in a row?
My buddy has a colt 1911 and i didnt have ftf. So i cant b limp wristing that much.
Before you call Springfield try letting someone else have a go. The XDm does not carry the heft of a 1911. The felt recoil is less in a 1911 than the XDm. Not saying its you, but you do need to eliminate one thing at a time until the problem in uncovered. Range officers love shooting other peoples guns, just ask, most are more than happy to blast a couple mags of your ammo.Comment

Well i dont have as much time to go the range. But ill give that a try first before calling SA.
When i do put in the last rd it is pretty stiff.
Do u think if i load them to the max and leave it fully loaded that might lossen up the spring a bit?sigpic

Yes that will help a little, but cycling the spring will loosen it faster. Do you have a Uplula? If not get one asap. New mags are no match for the Uplula.Comment

I just use the factory ammo loader from SA.
Lets hope its not me lol. Bit at the same time i hope the springs need to loosen up.
Should i take apart the mag and do something about spring tention?sigpic

Well im going to stop by wally world and pick up a couple diff brand ammo.
So for sake of argument, i let other people shot my xdm and use more than 2 diff brands of ammo and if there is still the same problem i mentioned above what else could b causing the issue with my xdm? Mag most likely? Or i got a lemon pistol?sigpic

Well lets wait to see the results of new ammo and shooter before we move into other areas of the weapon.
95% of the time its ammo or shooter related. 5% of the time its a magazine issue, but its pretty isolated. Having three bad mags leads us to believe its not the mags.Comment

Every shooter should own a basic set of dial calipers and know how to use them. They really help at diagnosing problems. Know what the OAL of your ammo is one of those. Cheap dial calipers, not digital, can be had for around $20 and will last for years if taken care of. The cheap ones are +/- .003 and are good enough for small jobs.
