For ccw i'd say 23. For me though i cant stand shootin the 23 due to the grip design and how short it is. Very unconfortable for me to shoot but just for ccw i think it'll do.

I would consider a G35 for range fun since it is the same caliber as your duty weapon, but since that is not one of your choices, go with the 27. Helpful to have a backup/concealed carry weapon that is the same caliber/mag compatibility as your service weapon.

Id love to get a G17 and G26 combo soon. I had a G23, for me recoild was ok, but very snappy. Other then that, great handgun!

Get a G23 and a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel and a G19 magazine. You can shoot .40 and 9mm from the same pistol!

And a 357 barrel too. 3 calibers in one.

                      I bought the G26 for several reasons;
                      1. It uses 9mm ammo, cheap and plenty of it.
                      2. Any 9mm Glock mag will fit in it if you ever move out of the state.
                      3. Mine shoots just as good as my G19.
                      4. The easiest to conceal.

I am sure you will end up with a few Glocks .
                      Here is my G26.

Yep, that's right. I was amazed when I rented the G27 to see what the fuss was all about. The recoil was surprisingly dampened more so than my duty gun, the G23. I deduced that it somehow had to do with the enhanced recoil spring. Lo and behold, it's the dual recoil spring, indeed. The G27, apart from being a reliable, accurate little shooter, was a helluva lot of fun to hit paper with.

I also tried the G26 and did quite well with it, but the G27 offered more excitement and firepower to justify going for the 40 caliber.

Do it, the G27 is really one of the best guns in the Glock series.

I admit I haven't shot a new Gen 4 G23, but it appears to have something of a dual recoil spring setup also. That might mitigate whatever the 27 had over the previous Gen 3 G23.

I'd be willing to bet that is true, and most likely one of the reasons Glock switched over to the dual recoil spring system for all of their pistols.
I still feel that I shoot the 27 better because I've gotten used to folding my pinky under the grip rather than wrapping around the front. It's a very comfortable way to hold the little subcompact-gripped guns that many people overlook. Plus, the less grip length a gun has, the easier it is to conceal.

I have a G26 and its my go-to carry gun. I swapped the factory sights for an XS big dot set and also installed Pearce PG26 extensions on all my mags.

Some selling points to the 26:
                              - Small package, I have no problem concealing it in an IWB holster.
                              - Very soft shooting sub compact pistol.
                              - 10 rounds is the standard capacity magazine which means mags can be found cheap and easy. Cant beat 10+1 in a carry gun.
                              - Shoots as well as my G19 but more concealable. Also, I can use my 19 mags in it.

For me its the best practical all around CCW fighting pistol out there. I wouldnt trade it for anything.

The 27 would be a good choice for you if you want to stick with a .40 for your carry gun.

YES!!! You do not need the pinky on the grip to shoot well. Actually, I like it a lot. Me - I have both the 26 and the 27 but for the OP go with the 27 as so many have said.
