is that the same finish as the RIA GI and non railed tactical 1911's? I've never seen the railed tactical in person it looks darker and much nicer than the parkerized RIA's I've seen in person.
BTW great price ... where is tracys?

Well heres a update. The rail will not work on this gun. Its looks as if they didnt take enough metal off. Im going to try and contact RIA and see if they have fixed this yet. If not it will be fixed on the mill. Its just a tad too big.Lions not sheep.

Its the Tactical 2011 model, the only one with a rail. Its not that big of a deal to fix but now I guess I know Ill be painting it for sure,lol.Lions not sheep.

Is the rail model off-list?
Hopefully there's no issue with Springfield Armory. If you send it back, and they have to replace your gun with the same model, but a different serial number, you may have to go through the SSE again (may not be a big deal, but they'll have to send it to the FFL who will do another SSE).
You may want to talk to Tracy Rifle about this -- it may be easier for them to send it in for warranty work since you got it through a SSE.
If you machine the rail yourself, you may void the warranty.

Ok so I have a cheap NC star Light laying around. So I took a little off the top of the mount on the light and now it slides on perfect. So it looks like the grove on the gun wasnt cut high enough.Lions not sheep.

On a side note, bead blasted with black G10 grips would look sick.
