Stick with the Sig brand mags, and Top gun supply gets my vote.

My factory Sig mags work great, I bought some Pro Mags and they're pretty much relegated to plinking only duty. I can't get them to reliably cycle no matter what I do to them.

Regarding LEOs buying magazines from their departments, I don't know of any departments that do that... maybe a smaller agency. Most departments that I'm aware of have a strict "what we issue you is all you get from us" attitude towards everything and everyone. My department issues us only that which they can get the lowest price on. You had better believe that my Sig Sauer P220 Stainless Elite with Crimson Trace laser grips and a Surefire X300 weaponlight would be like kryptonite to the eggheads that purchase gear for my department.

I know Botach gets terrible reviews from people who order, but since OP is LEO in SoCal (I know that's a large region) don't they offer in store pickup? They seem to have 220 8rd mags for 39.95, of course you need to order before you even find out if they are in stock.

I purchased 2 Sig P220 mags from TGS on Friday, they were in stock when I placed my order. Cheapest price around! I don't know how they sell it that low.

You should check CDNN or Cope Distributing. Cope has flat rate shipping, I bought 25 at a time...yup, that's $500 in mags
+1 on the Act-Mag magazines as well. very reliable and tough floor plates (i regularly drop them on cement floors during drills).

Top Gun Supply has a "Email Me When Back In Stock" feature you can use; when the P220 magazines are back in stock, they will email you with that news.

I have 4 Pro-Mags that were given to me after a student had them fail repeatedly during a class. He was going to throw them away and I took them to see how bad they really were.

Besides the obvious use as a door stop (not even a good as a cracked factory mag as they are lighter), they do allow for Failure Drills when shooting
