I'm totally jealous, even with the two year wait. I got into handguns a year ago... I'm not 21 yet. I still have a 4 month, 7 day, 2 hour, and 24 minute wait just until I can purchase a GLOCK.
Wasn't meant to be a one-up kind of thing... I just know what you're feeling having waited this long myself.

I'm 3 years waiting for notice to send a top notch professional gunsmith two of my revolvers for a full tricking out, and I'll keep waiting. The best is worth waiting for.

If the point of this post was to make us jealous, then it totally worked. That is one helluva nice 1911. I also would never shoot it. Just take it out with velvet gloves once in a while and rub it with a cloth diaper.Comment

For $5K I would get a Nighthawk GRP Recon.
But I think if you wanted SA it is worth a wait for you. I have a problem waiting for guns for more than 11 days.
