Yeah, go to Brassfetcher's YouTube site, and check out some of his videos about what these useless mouse gun calibers do to ballistic gel. LESS EFFECTIVE does not equate to USELESS. And just because .357 mag hurts you MORE does not mean .32 won't hurt you pretty bad.

One that doesn't shoot. Have you ever said I want to be shot with a .25 acp instead of not being shot? exactly.

I'm surprised at all the "45 GAP" posts in this thread considering that the GAP is ballistically superior to the 45 ACP (ACP+P levels the playing field). The GAP comes in a smaller case--meaning that smaller, more concealable handguns can be built around it. What's not to like about the GAP? If you look at it objectively, the GAP trumps the ACP unless you start talking about "ammo availability"--which isn't really a valid concern since gun stores do carry GAP and you can order a truckload of it to your doorstep.

Too many people are caught up in sentimentalism that does them no good. The 45 ACP is just a flat-out inferior round to the GAP. That's the truth, whether you like it or not.

(No, I don't own a GAP, but I wouldn't mind having one at all).

Congrats, you just won all the internets. Watched a show on the History channel about the French Foreign Legion, and they NEVER won anything. All their historic battles that they cherish are ones they lost but died bravely. They don't have any victories to celebrate.

All the testing that I just googled came out with nearly IDENTICAL velocity between the two in terms of HD/SD ammunition in the 200-185 grain sized bullets.

And its 1/4 inch different...not a huge amount taken off a frame.

I thought the whole point of the GAP was to mimic .45 Auto but with more compact sized package.

.22 LR shotshell. Barely enough to kill a snake at point blank range in my opinion. You'd be better off with a 9-iron or a frog gig!

.25 auto, more or less useless. Expensive and underpowered, but I don't doubt that it has killed people. Do they come in hollow point and would they have sufficient energy to expand?

Don't discount the .32 ACP, that's what Hitler used to off himself.

                          .45 GAP is a mystery.

BTW, why would you want an expanding 25acp? Use a solid, or round nose.

They are meant to be used for skull shots at point blank range, the bullet enters and ricochets around inside the skull. Subsonic loadings make it quieter.

I thought it was a common misconception that .22 and .25 "ricochet in the body/skull/bounce off bones".
