Best bet is to get an idea for what it runs online, then hit your local stores and see if they will come close to price. Otherwise, prepare to get your hopes killed by there transfer fees.


Im partial towards springfield, just because there no BS warranty. You should be able to find a loaded sub 1k pretty easy.

Keep in mind, I am NOT a 1911 guy, so for all the little goofy things people ***** and moan about not being traditional or what not, they dont bug me.

Who cares about a list.

$50 Sarco 7" barrel. Get some super long grip screws that would block a magazine from being inserted into the gun. Single Shot Exemption. Pick it up in 10 days, put the original barrel back in. Original grip screws. Fire.

Ugh, this again... If you want a "cheap" 1911 get a RIA. $300-400 it was you said, so get a RIA.
