I have carried one for several years. Completely reliable with both factory ammo and my cast lead handloads. Very accurate for a small pistol. It does have sharp recoil, but is very controlable. At 10 yards I can keep all rounds on an eight inch plate, firing as fast as I can press the trigger. My FIL had a PF11, and I was unimpressed with it. Trigger was VERY heavy. PF9 trigger is OK. The sights are pretty decent too.
The Ruger LC9 is basically a copy of the KelTec.

LC9 Trigger is REALLY REALLY bad. PF9 much easier to "stage"
Just from my experience. Haven't fired mine yet just dry fired it at the store.

I've had grea tluck with my PF9- fed everything from COr-bon +P JHP to WWB 9mm without a hitch. Doing the 'fluff and buff' helps.

Recoil is not bad, but I also shoot .500S&W.

After shooting the P40 (P-11 in .40), the PF9 is downright pleasant to shoot.
