    +1 this ^

Unreliable, picky on what it eats but probably the most fun you can have with a steel fender in the shape of a semi auto.

The only .50AE DE I've ever seen broke within a few shots and hand to be loaded one round at a time. Doesn't seem to be very reliable. I got to shoot it, a while back before anyone ever told me how to properly fire a handgun, and the thing almost smacked me in the face youtube style . I'd like to give it another try now that I know what to do.

Fun gun, but unless you need to disable a car with only a handgun, or a charging elephant, I'm not sure if practicality was included in any bit of the design.

        It's completely IMPRACTICAL.
Which is also why it's so much fun.

For $850, I don't think you could go wrong. If you dislike it, turn around and sell for $1200.
This may sound strange and unbelievable to you, but it is real and true.

I have friends who use them for pistol hunting, in 44 mag and .50.

I have a .357, and a .44 that was a recent purchase. The .44 had the old style mag and would not feed properly. The problem was easily fixed with updated mags. Most of the time you can pick these up for a steal because most of the people that are selling them because they don't function 'properly' are shooting underpowered ammo through them. As stated earlier by someone, don't shoot lead through it. it will foul up the gas system, always make sure that you use jacketed bullets. This chart will help if you don't reload.

Mine would only cycle plus p however and it got to be too expensive. Sold it to another Calgunner and bought a dirt bike.
But they're awesome! I'll replace mine eventually.
                Do it!
HEY! That looks just like mine!

Except I sent mine off to get birdsonged black and green t-d. Will not have it back before Christmas but I hope the wait is worth it.

I got it for the cool factor and Bright spot just found me a PTR-91 for $1100 with an aluminum handgard as well so I am a happy camper. This gun has actually motivated me to reload all of that brass that I have been picking up at the ranges. Matter of fact, I JUST picked up 1500 rounds of 45/44/9mm ammo at midway. Another calgunner and co-worker who reloads told me that rainier makes really good bullets. SO I am buying the rainier copper washed lead bullets because they are supposed to be similar to jacketed rounds but without the cost. Apparently they are hella cheaper and the performance is very good. I do not see them on your list though. I hope they were just over looked. I do not like shooting lead down any of my guns 'cept the .22 because who cares, it is a 22. I have similar thoughts on my .357 but not my M&PR8. I would rather throw the lead out of the cheaper 357 that I have (S&W 6 shot going up for sale soon). Still, This gun was purchased just for the sake of replacing my Colt Kodiak and because I wanted to have a 44 mag around. Later on I WILL get a 50 AE barrel and I WILL reload that to.
Thanks for the info. It is nice to see some positive things said about this toy...

Please don't call it a "deagle".

It hurts the ears, like finger nails on a chalkboard or people calling mags clips.

Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.
