Same my gf and I tried single handed weak and strong hand shooting a full mag each. For all she knew it was a competition but in all I was testing to see if she could get it to jam. And it did not. So i figure were lucky or to get my glock to jam you can only hold it with 2 fingers because she's not the strongest girl (5'7" 120lbs) And she had muzzle flip like no other. If that doesn't do it I'm not sure what will.

I just came home fronm the range and a guy had a brand new Glock 19 that would not work new from the box. Felt like a striker spring problem I would bet it is a silly problem. Try some known quality ammo!

It's possible they've changed it a little over the years to lessen the jamming problem. I've only shot friends/acquaintances Glocks, and I've never asked how old they were.

I can almost make them jam on command. I can't tell you how many times I've heard that it's "impossible to make MY Glock jam." And then I make it jam within 2 or 3 shots. I've made a lot of money from people betting me I can't make their Glock jam. And then they say "NO WAY! Let me try!" And they can't duplicate it. I suspect it has something to do with how each of us are built. Do you have meaty hands or thin hands? Do you have thick forearms or slender forearms? Are you small boned or big boned? Do you have natural flexibility or are you fairly stiff? I suspect all those kinds of physical traits come into play. Whatever it is, I got it.

I remember watching this AWESOME little 9 or 10 year old girl on Youtube shooting a pistol match with a Glock 17. It was jamming on her constantly and her clearing technique was as good as her shooting. She was jamming every 3 or 4 shots and clearing it fast without missing a step. It was very obviously a limp-wristing problem, but she was so small she just didn't have the strength to hold the gun any more firmly than she was.

Pretty hard to make a Glock quit running no matter how you hold it. This G17 had over 75,000 rounds at the time of the video. 2nd round weak handed upside down had a backwards primer, that's why it didn't fire. Last video I am only holding the gun with one finger and it still runs... Those loads were 127 gr round nose moly bullets, on top of 4.5 grains of TiteGroup at 1.155" overall.

So, it sounds like the gun is functioning fine ie it strips off the rounds, chambers it, and ejects (when it goes bang) the empty case? I would strongly suggest its the ammo. Either the rounds were not sized down enough and slightly fat to hold it just slightly out of battery, or the primers are not seated properly. Magazine problems usually result in failures to feed. Try some factory ammo and report back.

my 17C does not like certain types of CCI ammo. not really a problem for me because i don't shoot that stuff anyway.

BVAC ammo? The only 2 FTFs I have had with my Ruger GP100 was with BVAC ammo. I know it is wheel gun vs your Glock, but I am thinking the low cost ammo could be the problem.

Thanks, I will. I cleaned it, lubed with clp on the rails after about 50 rounds of problems.
One thing that I thought was wierd was that, other times that I have had a dud, in my g21, If I had a ftf, I just charged the slide and the failed to fire round ejected and I could move on, with this current problem I have to take the magazine out and mess with it. Not very dependable.

someones asked why it came with one mag.
well it came with 3 mags...then the guy sold them while I was on my 10 day jail sentence. So I ened up buying on here for cheaper when they gave me the cash back.

Someone asked about my build, 5'9, 187 pounds. and the FTF happened with several different types of holds on the Glock, all 2 handed, with all 3 mags (because I put them to the side as ftf's happened)
Ya i'm taking it to the range tomorrow with new ammo.

I was under the impression that limp wrist caused failure to EJECT, not failure to feed?
                      i.e. stovepipes.

I with the poster suggesting that you take your barrel out and drop feed the reloads to see if they fall in. Reloads are not always sized to the base, and so that slight budge can be the culprit.

My experience is BVAC is crap. Under-charged and you can bet once fired stuff was never resized full length.

Try some fresh factory ammo and your problem will go away.

                        Be well, Bob

Your saying a shop, opened your locked case, and took out your magazines and sold them with out you knowing durring your DROS?

Or did you get it new from a PPT. If you got it from a shop cash back or not those were your mags not theirs. That's not good business.

I agree it's probably the ammo. The only failure I have ever seen in a Glock has been a failure to fire due to bad primers.

ya I will check the ammo, in the barrel.

Ya they set them aside and sold them, not sure if they were in my box...but a new glock with 3 mags for $477 with trijicon night sites...well almost 3 mags I guess...was pretty hard to pass up.

The once fired BVAC seemed to work with my RRA pretty decently, but now i'm second guessing it.
