I'm sad...

I had a 40 cal. taurus millenium . Its broke somewhere on the frame and the trigger or hammer didnt work. It was one of my first gun purchases. I like to rapid fire and test them out with different ammo to see if it would jam or malfuntion but the frame broke. But Taurus had a good warranty. I sent it in and they fixed it. When I got it back I was still disappointed so ,I sold it to my brother in law for 250.Comment

I've been leaning that way for a while. I took a class a couple years ago now that was all G19's and they grew on me. I'm really a Rifle shooter and this is the only handgun I own. Ether way, since we all like pictures....

I'm even more sad because 2 weeks ago this knife and all but one magazine were stolen with my go-bag that was in my truck.

when I do plunger tubes I also loctite them in (a drop along the tube, and a drop in each post), and they'll last until the zombies are all gone
lol

I read a few threads about these coming undone. Some said it was poor quality plunger tubes. I had contemplated having a smith do it.Comment

easy fix
A good Ed Brown or Wilson Plunger tube is easy to install and should stake in just fine with the proper tools. I never thought of the Loctite, but may use that as well the next time I do one just takes a couple of minutes.
I hate to have guns out for repair, that's why I've purchased many of the tools and keep a small stock of parts so I can do some of my own repairs and upgrades. Anything that requires milling or machining I have to send out. A small milling machine would be a great addition! and of course being able to hot blue and nickel plate would also be fun. Oh and having a 25 yard range in the basement would also be cool.Last edited by psango; 09-24-2011, 1:24 AM.Always remember to pillage before you burn.Comment

More awesome, I got an Email back from me asking for an ETA the other day and it said repair was backed up 2-3 weeks......
Then tonight while I was sitting her eating dinner, I got an email on my phone from Fed-Ex saying it would be here on the 4th.

Lucky. I called and was told they had it and it would be 2-3 weeks before they even looked at it. I didnt receive and havent yet received any email. I asked if someone would contact me and let me know what was going on. the guy was basically like, call when you want, but we'll get to it when we get to it, and maybe we'll contact you when we want to. He was actually kind of a smug ***. Wasnt exactly living up to the rave reviews for s&w customer service...Comment
