They are out of stock because they are dirt cheap. Trust me, do yourself a favor and and look into the M&P or other manufacturers. The Sigma's have the worst trigger pull of all pistols I've ever fired.

I bought a Sigma 9 NIB for $289 a few weeks back, worked on the trigger and made it into a nice range gun. Groups are under 4" at 7 yards, but the trigger will never improve enough to become an EDC.

I see them around here at turners for around $330 all the time, so they are out there.

It's been a few months but last time I was at Wild Sports in Sacramento they had Sigma's for $269 or $279 and M&P's in 9mm or 40 were $419 or $429.

It's a great gun, don't let the haters fool you. The trigger is just the same as a middling quality DAO revolver trigger. I shoot beautiful single holes in a target at 10 yards with it.

Plus I shoot all my other guns better after learning to shoot this one properly.

And it's cheap. Except in the east bay apparently. Don't pay more than $280 or so for one.

sigma su*k, good to toss at someone but definitely not for protection, I HAD one of the early ones and was glad to take the loss getting rid of it.

I have both, and a p89. The Sigma is in .40.

I shoot all of them equally well. They all work perfectly well. Can't get a cheap Ruger in .40 really, from what I've seen.

Save your hate for someone else, I've owned a half dozen of them with no problems whatsoever with any of them.

                      early Sigma's had problems

new ones...don't have the early problems

                      Don't like the trigger?

Call S&W customer service (lifetime warranty even on used guns)

Tell them the trigger is "rough and gritty".

DO NOT TELL THEM IT IS "STIFF".

They'll email a shipping label at no charge.

                      Send them the frame.

About two weeks later you get it back, and it's smoooth as buttah.

No other modern, hi-cap gun comes close for less than $300.

Makes a great "car gun" where legal.

Budsgunshop ships Cali legal models for $298.

Paid $220 for my current Sigma...factory fired only w/box, papers, etc

Ruger P95's a good gun for the money, no doubt.

I don't prefer the controls, particularly the way the safety operates.
