Glock Owners: What "Must Have" Mods Do You Recommend?

    Hi,

The subject says it all. I just bought a G21sf and a G30sf.

Are there any common additions or changes I should make? For example, I understand most people recommend getting night sights.

    Thanks,

Sights! I like Dawsons and Warren Tacticals. The Competitive Shooter sells them and has a special going, I think.

IMO, night sights aren't a "must have" mod. It's more of a convenience mod.

IMO, a must have mod on a Glock is the extended slide release, and possibly even an extended mag release (I like the Vickers one the best... longer than stock, shorter than the factory extended, and rounded edges). That, and mags & ammo.

From there, then decide on what works for you and what mod(s) you can benefit from.

Pretty much this....Best to try to get used to a new pistol rather than throwing a bunch of aftermarket parts on it and then wondering why it doesn't work.

There really are no "must have's" when it comes to Glocks, except maybe getting an AA .22 conversion for it.

sell them and buy a 1911

FWIW when I had Glocks the only upgrades I did were tritium sights, and that was enough for me

Night sights might be helpful if you're thinking of using the guns in a defensive role.

I think most Glock owners should replace the part of their brain that makes them want to replace parts on their guns.

My vote would be to spend the $ on ammo, range time, and training.

None are must have. But I add a Glock plug, Wilson buffer, Extended Mag Release, Extended Slide Release, and Night Sights.

+1 on slide release and sights, those I felt were necessary. I upgraded the mag release on mine but only because it was a competition gun. The trigger is up to you.

try to spend more time on the range and then figure out what you need. in my case, i changed connectors(3.5lbs), installed a mag and slide release. its just for the range so i don't need night sights.

For my 17 and 19- Extended slide release, Trijicon night sites and the grip plug. All very worth it.

3.5# trigger does not exist in most pistols. Unless there is a serious amount of parts fitting - and even that is questionable on reliability.
