I'm trying to decide between the 92 A1 and the 92 FS and am having difficulty finding out what the differences are, can you recommend one over the other?

I'll be using it for general range practice, home defense, etc.

Or is it like choosing which kid you love better?

Maybe I'd get 6? Oh hell, I'd just buy 8 of 'em

I own and shoot both xd's and CZ's. If you can find a CZ 75 B with the omega mods or a pre-B 75, you won't need any work done to outshoot the XDm. The biggest difference you'll notice will be how much faster you can accurately put multiple rounds on target. If you're not going to carry, then I guess one of the new models with the light rail is fine, but stick to metal frames.
9mm and 45acp are equally lousy. There's not a dime's worth of difference in REAL terminal ballistics. Get over it.

For Target shooing IMHO a Sig P-210 it the Holy Grail...although I like the Glock 34 Compensated.

            How about a H&K P30L?

noemedic, nice shooting with your USP. Since you've already got the HK and want a range pistol id vote for either a beretta 92 or CZ 75. Something about the 92 makes me love shooting them. The 75 with a worked trigger is magic for me. Better than any custom 1911 I've shot. Hard to explain but ymmv. Good Luck with your search!

              WTB used AK MFER.
