The Glock is not pretty or unique enough for this purpose.
The rifle may loose your interest.

The Kimber / a nice 1911 would be perfect.

Take a very close look at your shooting budget as AMMO COSTS can seriously impact your range time. I find that .40 caliber ammo is usually MORE than .45 in most shops. Ammo shortages seem to effect this caliber more so than 9mm and .45.

I have a number of handguns and shoot most of them regularly. One of my favorites is the HK .45C (C=compact) it comes with night sights, excellent safety/decocker which functions independently, dual slide release, and a very good trigger. (See The Gun Broker.com)

These is one well designed and engineered handgun. I am truly impressed with the quality.
It is very accurate and has LESS recoil than my other .45's. Take a look!
