Glad to hear that your buddy is able to reach them. Hope Tula makes good on their promise. Sounds like the verdict is Tula's problem and not Glock's, although Glock should definitely be informed of this incident to add to their "make Glocks less explodey in case of bad ammo" priority list.

I am a Glock owner btw.

This is simple.... here's why there seems to be more Glock kabooms than others when doing research....

Glocks are probably the most sold pistol everywhere than any other pistol.

So........ there will be more incidents like it compared to any 1911, sig, xd, etc....

Glock haters will always hate. I have over 6,000 rounds on my Glock and never had a problem. Never used cheap ammo such as tula before, not because of fear but simply because I don't want to use cheapy ammo. There's a reason why they are cheap.

How can it be the pistols fault anyways?

If I ever put diesel in my Lexus coupe and the engine breaks down, is it Lexus fault or the diesel fuel that shouldn't be in there in the first place? Its not the fuels fault but the user who put the wrong stuff in there.

Everyone gravitates to "double charge" which is highly unlikely. A double charge in 9mm can't really occur without effecting bullet seat. This would be detected way before the round made it into the box.

The far more common and likely ammo issue is actually quite the opposite: undercharge. More empty space in a case allow pressure to build up to a dangerous level way before the bullet is pushed into the barrel. Instead of moving the bullet, it finds its own exit through the case.

So what was the final verdict from Glock?

OMFG! This thread is like parachuting into a sandbox at the local nursery school. I hope there aren't any space aliens that read Calguns because they will think that humans are a bunch of sniveling, whining babies. If you guys don't knock it off, they are going to vaporize our planet.

I own two Glocks myself. Anyone that says that there hasn't been a history of Glock KBs has a hard time dealing with reality and the truth. Do other guns go kaboom? Yes. Big deal. Everyone thinks that they are the expert. Human error! No! Ammo! No! It's the Glock! No! It's this! No! It's that. Give it a rest already. THIS gun (that happened to be a Glock) had a failure using Tula ammo. That is the only thing that is known. Period. Everything else is speculation.

I'm glad the shooter was not seriously hurt. I am still going to shoot my Glocks with every kind of ammo I can get my hands on.

P.S. If any aliens did read this, please don't vaporize us. We're really not as stupid as it looks.

                  Fixed it.

This thread was too long to read but it would be interesting to know what exactly happened here....

                      Squib load? Dummy fired again?
Over charge? Don't think that make the gun explode.

                      What else?

I respecfully disagree. There is just too much info on Google to say it's not Glocks issue. I know Glocked beefed up the slide thinking that was it, and I see Gen IV still does it. I guess back to the drawing board for Glock.

Honestly, after paying $500+ for a gun and it did that, I'd be pissed. But, again, I don't live at home, and money means something to me. Just saying.

Oh, and to say your glad the shooter was hurt, wow. Says a lot about you.

You're kidding.... right.....? That quote is 100% sarcasm. A flipping XD is no different than a Glock as far as kabooms go.

Back to the drawing board for Glock? Are you absolutely insane? Look at their track record FFS. Tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands are in serbvice day and day out. You are a Glock troll.

They are kabooming because of the ammo or user error you Neanderthal. All guns will. You wonder why there are apparently "more" Glock kabooms? Maybe because there are millions more sold than XDs.

                              Sigh.....

Last weekend Steve was firing .45 ACP loaded Corbon 185 grain bullets from his Springfield XDM.Steve said in an email to me (emphasis added) …The crack looks small, but when you disassemble the weapon, it doesn’t want to go back together.I also think that the extractor is bent or damaged.

                              I could keep going....

You're making yourself look silly with all the "adult" talk.
Any experienced gun owner understands that if you double load a round it won't behave like it should.

Are you saying that an XD will handle a double load better than a Glock? BS. They're very similarly built.

If you want data that just as many XD's have KB'd as glocks, you know you won't get it. Glock has sold about a billion more guns than XD.

Don't get me wrong, some of the "adults" around here actually own both and respect both. You're delusional if you think the XD is kaboom proof.
