    HK45! "win"

After months of waiting and 10 day torture.. I finally have my HK45. I took it too the range today and shot 100 rds through it. This is now my new favorite pistol. I have the HK45 USP elite, Glock 30sf, and others and have shot many others (including many 1911's) and this works best for me, It is the most accurate for me (tack driver) and fits my hand great. I'm in love!
Plan to get the LEM trigger ASAP however..

:P that is one fine hunk of metal and plastic. Nice choice. And how'd you get it?

I don't mean to thread crap or anything but why are HK expensive? Is it a brand thing sort of like BMW/mercedes being luxury items? This is an honest question not trying to talk smack.

A big portion in my opinion is due to brand. H&K for the most part is interested in military contracts, although their empathy for the civilian market has increased and CS has gotten better in this portion. I guess they're going to make it worth their time if they sell any guns to civilians with the premium. That said... I think H&K has the most consistent quality, in a very good way, of all the gun makes I've handled. Similarly priced Sigs are far behind in this department (though in my opinion still overblown on forums in their decline of QC).

          OP, nice score!

Extensive R&D and being an industry leader. They have to spend time and money to develop new systems and "think outside the box" - therefore, they need to recover these expenses. Other companies can come along and copy them, or just keep doing the same ol' same ol' for cheaper. Same thing with BMW/Mercedes - I mean honestly, would you rather get in an accident in a BMW or Hyundai? You gotta pay for cutting edge tech and reliability.

            Also, nice HK45 OP!

When I get the item, I will leave you iTrader feedback, assuming you've already done your part. See how that works?

I LOVE my HK45. I transitioned from a traditional Colt 1911 gov model. This has all the ergonomics of the 1911 with the lightness and balance of a polymer pistol (with the integrated rail for lights). But the true measure of greatness with this pistol is reliability. Mine will actually feed empty shell casings! (reliably no less)

              Other industry testing (http://pistol-training.com/archives/3105)
put 50,000 (fifty thousand) rounds through a single HK45 with less than 5 hiccups of any sort. They went thousands of rounds between cleanings or maintenance of any sort. (try that with a 1911)

HK45 is my choice for IDPA and casual shooting alike

My biggest gripe with my HK45 is the stock sights I wish Henie would make the Qwik sights with a ledge like 10-8 which don't make HK45 sights.

One of the coolest least discussed things about the HK45 is you can do tactical reloads with a full magazine without excessive tension and worries about the mag not being seated properly.

I got it from Table Rock arms, there prices we're great ($1050 shipped) and had it shipped over too good ol Riflegear!
I love this gun though (highly recommend trying/shooting) the trigger pull is not the best (like all HK USP's) and now I want the 9mm little brother.

I think there's something wrong with your gun. I'll take that defective thing off your hands...

Why get the LEM trigger? I'm starting to think people are getting them because they think they are cool for some reason. Do you understand what the LEM trigger is? I hate DAO, but that's just me. Get what you want.

I really liked shooting the HK45. It was the only pistola we could not limp wrist no matter how hard we tried. I just can't get down with the 10rd magazine. For such a fine pistola it seems a shame it holds so few bullets.
