    Handguns to avoid

Hey calgunners. We always hear good things about everything on this forum......how bout some handgun horror stories/mediocre handguns that we should avoid. I hope I don't get in trouble for starting this thread. Feel free to delete if i'm out of line moderators.

Avoid the SIG P210. TERRIBLE gun! Lousy! SIG should be embarrassed for ever having thrust that steel turd onto unsuspecting shooting enthusiasts.

If you EVER see one in a store, avoid it at all costs, don't even talk about it to the salesman. Next, don't walk, RUN out of the store, and PM, email, fax, page, and call me immediately so I can be sure junk like that is properly disposed of.

I have a Walther P-22 that has never run right. I have sent it back to S&W three times with the same result. Ron Kennedy at Canyon sports has gone through it himself to no avail.

Avoid any pistol that accepts rare caliber ammo, unless you're a collector. (remember the .41AE back in the early 90's?)

S&W Sigma 9M. I had one- went back to S&W THREE times- still had light strike problems. JUNK.

Davis .380- slide cracked after a few hundred rounds.

I also had a Grendel P-10 which literally fell apart.

My buddy had a Marlin Papoose which would not feed no matter what.

Those are the only things that stand out.

                    Ones that don't go "bang".

                        Any Ruger Auto
Any of the "ring of fire" guns (Davis, Lorcin, Phoenix, Bryco/Jennings, Raven, etc..)
Any S&W Auto especially the Sigma (only their M&P's and a COUPLE of their 1911's are worth buying)
                        Most of Kimber's 1911's

There are a few others but that's just off the top of my head.

Not a single person in the crowd is rational or reachable because the parade's for gay folks and it's in SF.
