9mm Target Gun HELP

9mm Spingfield or Sig X5

I started with a Springfield 1911 in 9mm w/target sights. Fit me better than the Kimber. The gun ran flawless and I learned a lot about shooting. I got real comfortable and accurate with it - Life was Good. Then - I tried a Sig X5. This is a double stack, so the grip was different for me. Despite a different grip, this gun is much more accurate and an absolute pleasure to shoot. I still preferred the 1911 grip so I sent my 1911 to the Spingfield custom shop (Match barrel/Bushing, trigger job, etc) now my 1911 is as accurate as the Sig and it fits me.
The funny thing is that I shoot both the Sig and the 1911 more than any other, they are the first in/out of the range bag. I never get tired of either. Sometimes I shoot one better than the other.
So - whats the answer? Buy a big safe because once you get hooked its hard to just have one.
I have the CZ, Hi-Power, & Glock in 9mm. The 1911 and Sig for target shooting are far superior for me in my hands.

The 9mm Loaded Springfield is a nice gun even without the custom work, I had one and sold it, duh (thought I would stick with just .45(Colt) and .38 Super(Springfield). Changed my mind and decided I wanted a 9mm after all. Now I have a Kimber Target II 9mm in DROS and will pick it up next Tuesday. I also have other 9mm's but really enjoy the 1911 platform. I too find it hard to have just one. When money permits I would love to send my Springfield in for some custom work.

If I were to get a purely target shooting 9mm, I'd get a Sig P210. It's the most accurate 9mm I've ever shot, not mention one of the most accurate pistols I've ever shot.

There's a guy in the Classifieds with a Para 9mm 1911 double-stack available. These are nice competition guns if you get the bugs worked out.
