Hello, I am beginning the process of using SSE to obtain a Walther PPQ. I am using Table Rock Arms as suggested above. Seems like a great guy and knowledgeable. This particular firearm comes with 15 rnd mags. What are people doing in this situation? Are they changing the follower or adding a block of some sort? Advise from the collective intelligence would be great. Thanks in advance Jeff

Magnum Research MR9 Eagle mags work in the PPQ. Their part numbers are MAGFA910 and MAGFA915, 10 round and 15 round respectively.

Ordered three magazines from Manventure Outpost (http://www.manventureoutpost.com/pro...-MAGFA910.html) for $29 each, which was the cheapest around. Mags fit well and it cycles snap caps in my PPQ. Have yet to shoot them. So I can't give a full report.

        Good luck and happy shooting.

Where did you guys order your PPQ's from and how much did you end up paying OTD? Every time I start shopping for one, I start getting depressed at how many sellers will not ship to CA.

I had been trying to pick one up through Ebrworks in the past 6 months but to no avail. I acquired mine on the private firearms board here on Calguns with a lot of patience and constant scouring.

Get one, you will not regret it. Beautiful trigger.

Just going through this...after checking out mine, parental unit wants one, so went to GunBroker, found a 2012 version PPQ in Florida. Once payment clears, seller will ship to Table Rock Arms in Oregon to Single Shot Exemption. Once a barrel and stop are put on the PPQ making it CA compliant, it can then be shipped to a CA FFL. Done!

Definitely give EBR Works a contact. If you can find it out of state, they should be able to transfer it to their location and then do the SSE process. They are super nice people and will give you a straight answer as to whether it's possible or not. I bought my PPQ from them and it could not have been a more pleasant transaction.

                      Good luck!

Latest P99 mags work with PPQ. Having personal experience with it, the trigger is impressive, disassembly is a breeze, sights replacements is a breeze, loved mag release (personal preference though). Now to the downsides, the recoil is snappier than glock's due to high bore axis, mags are expensive, weak aftermarket support. All these downsides were deal breakers for me personally.

Tagging to give an informed range report once mine gets out of jail.

Um for those of you who think the PPQ will have a drastically different trigger than the P99AS.........watch this.......

Walther recently changed the PPQ's mag release from a lever to a button. I have the lever version and love it. The gun is fantastic. Also it will never make the CA list; just like 90% of every new gun being made. It's a shame that we live in a state that is run by idiots. Go for the SSE. You won't regret it....Oh and the trigger is really great.

From what they told me at SHOT they changed the mag release to the traditional push button for the north america market due to "high demand." Personally I feel the paddle style mag release is superior and wish my M&P had the same.
